Another day in paradise! What time to be alive in the world of education and education research! There has never been a time in my history when the call for efficiency and effectiveness in practice was more frantic. School districts and school boards are faced with decreasing budgets vis a vis increasing demands for special programs to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse student population. We, as researchers, have more opportunity than ever to influence policy, curriculum, instruction, and assessment in the present than we have had for many years previous. Our journal, The Researcher, and our annual conference bring together professionals from many different perspectives to wrestle with the issues in education that have the potential to guide the future of our nation. What a privilege and challenge to participate in such an outstanding organization that puts personal, professional, and graduate student growth as high priorities.
I again wish to express appreciation to our review board, now 29 in number, that have consistently given timely and constructively critical feedback on each article. Reviews are located in all constituent states as well as California and Georgia. The Researcher would not possess its professional formatting or web presence without the work of Aaron Richmond and Barbara Schroeder, who take the manuscripts and transform them into electronic media that is easily accessible on the NRMERA website and in hard copy format. The individuals that work together to make the Researcher a reality are a dedicated and persistent group of scholars that make my position much easier. Thank you!
Respectfully,
Lawrence R. Rogien
